The committee are pleased to announce that we have secured the services of a professional sports massage therapist to help our players. Spike Elliott of Release Sports Therapy has offered a significant discount to any members of BAFC for the treatment of injuries at his Buckingham clinic. Spike is a qualified UEFA coach and is the child protection officer at Oxford Utd, so he has extensive knowledge of childrens football and the injuries that occur. The rate for treatment at his clinic is £20 for an extensive session (approx 1hr) for BAFC, which has been reduced from the normal price of £34.

We are also trying to arrange a fortnightly assessment clinic in Brackley, where Spike could look and advise on injuries. This will be largely funded by the club, with a small charge to the player of £5. News of this clinic will be posted here shortly.

For the benefit of the managers Spike is also running a course to help train in fitness, agility and warming up, which he has agreed to offer free of charge to us. The managers will all be informed of the date when we have managed to get the astoturf pitch booked.
